Field Issue 32mm vs. Standard Issue 25mm

We consider the Field Issue our most well rounded binoculars. All of our binoculars have a Rugged Impact Absorbing Housing designed to feel great in-hand while providing protection and are waterproof (IPX7) and fogproof (nitrogen purged)

What's the difference?

  • The Field Issue has a 32mm objective lens meaning that it will generally have a larger image or Field of View than the 25mm Standard Issue
  • The Standard Issue is smaller and lighter, only 11.85 oz compared to the 16.7 oz Field Issue
  • Both have BaK4 Prisms but the Field Issue does have slightly more advanced lens coating resulting in better a clearer image and better light transmission (we call it HiFi Fully Multi Coated Lenses)
  • The Field Issue features an Oversized Focus Wheel for ultra smooth and precise focusing

Bottom Line: We recommend the Field Issue for those looking for the best weight to performance ratio in their optics. Those mostly concerned with size and weight or first time buyers should opt for the Standard Issue

Field Issue 32mm vs. Pro Issue 42mm

We consider the Field Issue our most well rounded binoculars. All of our binoculars have a Rugged Impact Absorbing Housing designed to feel great in-hand while providing protection and are waterproof (IPX7) and fogproof (nitrogen purged).

What's the difference?

  • Both have BaK4 Prism however the Pro Issues Broadband Fully Multi Coated lenses and Phase Coated prisms allow for more light transfer with less scattering, producing a crisper image.
  • The Field Issue is smaller and lighter, only 16.7 oz compared to the 24 oz Pro Issue
  • The Pro Issue has a Ultra Wide Field of View: 429 ft field of view (8x @1000yds) compared to the Field Issue’s 387 ft (8x @1000yds)

Bottom Line: We recommend the Field Issue for those looking for the best weight to performance ratio in their optics. Those mostly concerned with a large Field of View should opt for the Pro Issue

Seek The Unseen

Nocs was born at the Citadel of Excitement, with a dream of juicing every last drop of our time outside. We kept wishing we had a set of nocs enough times where finally one day we bought some. And we used them every day. Checking the surf. Exploring backcountry lines. Watching our raccoon pals emerge at night. Seeing the world differently. On a closer level.

Great upgrade

So far so good, brings my backyard birds into better focus. Right now we have swans in the fields, lovely to be able to focus in on them! Much better than the cheap binoculars I had before.

I LOVEE them

I was nervous as these were my first pair of ~expensive~ binoculars but after seeing the quality of vision, these are a great price!!! They’re crystal clear and I’ve identified soo many birds with them, also super lightweight and they came early!

Guys!! Nocs are absolutely incredible!

First and foremost, these are incredibly functional. The optics are crisp and clear, not to mention the 32mm aperture provides plenty of light and brightness. One of my favorite benefits of these is the way that they fit into my right hand allowing me to hold them with a single hand and adjust the focus wheel without needing the other hand. The weight is perfect. The adjustable eyecups adjust to my exact viewing preference. And then there’s the style… Combined with a Nocs strap, i feel like the coolest person on the planet. A SPECIAL thanks to you guys! Can’t wait to get my dad a pair for his birthday. And thanks for the awesome packaging, and protective caps for the and lens covers. Can’t recommend these enough!

big upgrade from my NOC standards (which I also love)

As a novice birder, I had been enjoying my first pair of NOCs (standards) for over a year. These are great binoculars, esp for the price! But I decided to treat myself to the Field Issue model and WOWWW. The color and clarity is next level on these things, and the increase in size/weight is pretty minimal. I can still wear these comfortably for hours at a time. At their price point, I also appreciate that the Field Issue come with lens caps and a wider standard strap.
